I created this adapter to use 120 mm fans with a 280 mm radiator. Upgrading my PC case to a Fractal Design Meshify C revealed that I couldn't mount my 280 mm AIO radiator in the front due to my GPU's placement. Further investigation showed that the case doesn't officially support mounting a 280 mm radiator on top because of clearance issues with RAM & VRM heatsink. This adapter shifts the fans towards the glass side of the case, clearing those obstacles. The only noticeable difference using 120 mm fans instead of 140 mm is slightly increased audibility, possibly due to the more open design of my new case compared to my old Define R4. Thermal performance appears unaffected otherwise.
