140mm Fan Grill Cover Protector
thingiverse
I created this custom fan cover for a specific project where I converted an Ikea glass display case into a terrarium for orchids and other high-humidity plants. I installed a Noctua NF-A14 Industrial fan on top of the terrarium to create airflow, ensuring my cats wouldn't get hurt when they inevitably stepped over it. The holes should fit directly onto the fan; however, I didn't test this as I ended up sandwiching the top unit between the fan and cover. If you need different hole spacing or sizing, let me know. Current dimensions: * 2mm-2.5mm width screws with 5mm inset head * 124mm hole spacing between four holes (around the circumference) * 175.362mm hole spacing diagonally Base: * Print with fillets facing up; screw insets will be visible from above also Cover: * Print flat side down with ribs sticking up * The cover slots into place inside the gasket/base easily, yet it should hold using 0.15mm tolerance between each wall * I attached two designs: a flat basic one and the orchid plant design used on my current cover * Print with any layer height you prefer; I personally used Smartfil PETG at 0.2mm layer height
