The Order Marshal of the Teutonic Order assumed a critical role in managing the military affairs of the Order in the Baltic region. This encompassed overseeing the logistics of warfare, including the maintenance of castles, procurement of military equipment, production of weapons, upkeep of horses, and organization of supply wagons. In practical terms, this meant ensuring that Teutonic Knights were well-equipped for their campaigns, coordinating the production and distribution of arms and armor, and strategizing military operations against the Prussian tribes. Additionally, the Marshal was tasked with fortifying the Order's castles and fortifications to maintain defensive positions and deter enemy attacks. This character is inspired by an illumination, from the mid 13th century Morgan bible, of a knight fighting on horseback with an enclosed helmet and armed with a faussart.
