1322 Monolithic Airgun Suppressor
thingiverse
Suppressor for the 1322. Airgun suppressors are perfectly legal in the US, with no federal regulations to worry about. However, local restrictions may apply at the state or county level, and things can get tricky in other countries too. No supports are needed for this design. To print the core upside down is a good idea. The shell consists of three layers, and you can use as much infill as you like - more is better when it comes to strength. When printing the tall pieces, make sure to use brim with speeds between 35-45 so they don't detach from the build plate. The small suppressor was the original design, but it's relatively small and may only be effective for suppressing 1-3 pumps at best. The larger one should do a decent job, though. Keep your expectations realistic, as the airgun itself is quite noisy. After all, you're not trying to make a silent assassin here. After testing everything for proper fit, you can glue the pin holders to the barrel retainer if you like. Welding with a soldering iron may also work - I've done it myself. The original design had the pin holders as one piece, but they lacked strength due to print orientation. By separating them, we get much stronger pin holders. I could make the shell thicker, the core wider and longer for better suppression if you'd like. But for now, this design is good enough.
