13's Nozzle Chest
prusaprinters
Like probably you as well I printed LUCKY 13. For this week's contest I decided he could get a chest to store E3D V6 nozzles. The chest has a body and a lid which will be connected by 1.75 mm filament. To be able to carry it 13 get's a new pair of hands designed to interact with his box. The chest has holes on the sides and at the bottom which will take the thumbs to give enough hold to actually carry it.To take the nozzles I provided an inlay which will be pressed down into the box and indicators you should print in different colors to identify which nozzles you might grab. Of course, you can totally skip that part and LUCKY 13 will just get an empty box to carry whatever it will fit.For printing the hands soozafone (editor's note: the original LUCKY 13 creator) suggested using PETG, so I will do the same. In my pictures only the indicators were printed in colored PLA, but box, lid and inlay should work in PLA as well.In general everything can be printed without any supports. Even the middle finger worked unsupported, which I actually do not fully understand. 3D printing still holds looooots of miracles for me. :-D The finish will still be nicer if you give the middle fingers a snug support. Depending on your bed adhesion you might need a brim for the hands. I didn't, but please decide for yourself.
