This adapter enables automotive style surface mount switches to be securely fastened to thicker surfaces such as 3/4" thick MDF without requiring any router work. Additionally, it uses a friction fit design allowing you to easily open the box up for service access to the wiring. The mounting screw holes are precisely drilled at 4mm in diameter, ensuring they fit most standard 3/4" wood screws without additional drilling. The main mount hole is 1/2" in diameter. A strategically designed cutout accommodates a 5mm power inlet if necessary. If a power inlet is not required, you can simply align the cutouts away from each other to close up the power inlet hole.
