12V PSU case cover with 120mm fan

12V PSU case cover with 120mm fan

thingiverse

Custom cover for a 12V power supply unit (PSU) to accommodate a significantly larger 120mm PC fan, replacing the standard 60x15mm model. This combination of a large fan with a regulated step-down power module that reduces the operational voltage from 12v to 9-10v can provide virtually silent operation while maintaining PSU coolness even under heavy loads. Designed in SketchUp to fit a 300W noname PSU, which comes with my TEVO Tarantula, this custom cover is likely adaptable to many other LED-strip-type power bricks of similar size. Hole placements may differ, however. I've included the original SketchUp design for those who wish to edit it to suit their own PSUs. Print Settings: Printer: TEVO Tarantula Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 15-20% Notes: Be aware that this custom cover is thicker than the original metal one (2mm thick instead of 1mm and something).
