26-01-2020 I've added an extra pocket to the base part, making it easier to route cables. 29-12-2019 Lidl offers a standardized 12V system. You can't find a half-decent battery anywhere else for such a low price. https://www.lidl.de/de/parkside-x-12-v-team/c24312 Either you're stuck with China-made batteries, which is basically playing a gamble, or you have to purchase more expensive batteries that cost more than the actual machine itself. I chose Lidl's batteries instead. As power contacts, I used what I already had on hand. I utilized alligator clips, which are inexpensive and easily available on Ebay, Aliexpress, or Amazon. The cable is also pre-soldered. I cut off the part that sticks out and bent the section where you press it with your thumb. Both parts connect using 3mm screws. Everything can then be secured with 4mm wood screws. The energy system I created can be used to power a gamer seat made from an old electric Porsche chair. I designed this project in Fusion 360, which took up most of my afternoon due to the need to determine the outer and inner contours. Please consider donating a few cents to support a hardworking family man whose wife and daughter are struggling.
