You'll need to start by printing with white and then pause the print, switching to blue at just the right moment. I used Envirotex Lite, a two-part, pour-on, high-gloss resin to protect the top - it's made by Environmental Technology, Inc. When you mix this stuff up, you're bound to get some bubbles in there. To get rid of them, quickly run a small butane torch over the bubbles before the resin sets. They'll pop as soon as the flame passes by.
