12mm Massive Mendel

The "Massive Mendel" is an upgraded version of the standard Mendel, featuring 12mm x, y, and z-bars while retaining 8mm threaded rods. This modification includes a customized y-chassis DXF file, a STEP file with all parts, and original Solidworks 2010 files. The x-chassis is also extensively modified to accommodate hot ends. The reason for these enhancements is the 1kg weight of an 8mm thick heated bed, causing approximately 1mm y-bar deflection with 8mm rods. Thus, "Massive Mendel" was created to reduce deflection below 0.1mm using 12mm bars. Assembly is similar to a standard Mendel, but clearing threads from the y-rods may be necessary for proper fitment.
