We've received an invitation for our department to participate in an Engineering sponsored Sumo-bot competition. The rules are pretty straightforward. - The maximum weight allowed is 12 pounds - The maximum voltage permitted is 16 volts - The robot's size must not exceed 600 millimeters in X, Y, and Z dimensions - No pneumatic or hydraulic components can be used - Offensive devices are limited to throwing or flipping, with a maximum height of 600 mm or distance of 600 mm This basic platform is designed for mounting defensive and offensive systems. The project is ongoing and has undergone several revisions, but the initial design was focused on creating a defensive system from the start.
