#12 Gauge Shell Holder with magnets# 12 Gauge shell holder, holds 6 shells. Recommended for 2 3/4 or 3in shells. With magnet slots. ##**What's the difference between versions?**## The two version's difference: the wider base plate to increases velcro contact area. May require support with the extended plate. ##**Why the magnet slots?**## Shotguns are mostly side-loaded or bottom loaded, and it is generally more natural to have the hand pull out the shell downwards instead of upwards. Therefore, you cannot rely on the rim to keep the shell from falling out. Under recoil, any friction fit can get loose and eventually drop the shell, or if it's too tight then you will waste a longer time to pull out the shell. With magnets, even if there is a small gap due to vibration/recoil, it will still hold it for you. The studs can hold a **D6x3 round magnet**. If you do not put the magnets in, they will act as limiter that prevents shells from fully going in, leaving more space for your finger to pull the shells. ##**How to attach to a gun?**## Designed for attaching velcro on the back so you can quickly swap once one is used up, or you could directly glue it onto your gun or drill a hole to screw it on. ##**Suggested printing parameters**## You should print one to test your printer & filament's dimension accuracy and just the horizontal expansion factor. For practical use, I suggest an infill >20%, and wall count >3.
