Cutter for Uniform Shotgun Shell Cuts This handy cutter makes quick work of reducing 3-inch (76mm) shotgun shells to a uniform 2 3/4 inches (70mm). By printing only the top portion, you can cut shells to any desired length. To use: 1. Assemble the two parts together. 2. Insert an empty, preferably sized 12-gauge 3-inch shell into the cutter. 3. Place a single-sided razor blade into the designated slot. 4. Rotate the top section several times to trim the shell down to size. Note: Due to the lack of a secure blade holder, you may need to manually hold the blade in place while rotating the cutter.
