This custom gear enables users to craft precise metric gears on a compact 7x mini lathe with remarkable accuracy. An alternate banjo arrangement is needed to implement this design; I have provided detailed photos, and plans are being developed to include technical drawings or CAD files as soon as comprehensive testing is finished. Compared to the standard configuration's 20-80/20-80 settings, this custom gear provides a more precise feed rate of 0.0025 inches (406 turns per inch), outshining the default rate of 0.0039 inches (256 TPI). My newly designed banjo boasts an even simpler adjustment mechanism, making it easier for users to fine-tune their setup. Take a close look at my custom banjo, and you'll notice that it's significantly easier to adjust, even if the larger gear isn't used for production purposes. Would there be sufficient interest among our community to warrant publishing comprehensive plans and producing an improved instructional video?
