125mm HEAT round
thingiverse
It's a replica of a Russian 125mm HEAT round, scaled up to 1:1 for reference, display, cosplay, or airsoft use. This is not a project for the faint of heart; it's a multi-day print designed specifically for large-format printers like the CR-10. The fins are engineered with some clearance (around .3mm at full scale), allowing them to move slightly after printing, although they may require gentle persuasion. Ideally, I would have printed them with the fins deployed, but even a standard CR-10 cannot accommodate such a large print (>300mm). Please note that this model is only an approximation. While I aimed for realism by including threaded parts and accurate internal voids, like in some of my other projects, I had to sacrifice accuracy somewhat to make it more printer-friendly. The fact that there are several variants and references also made an exact portrayal challenging, but it was a fun challenge nonetheless. This is my only upload that hasn't been test-printed yet; I need to acquire additional filament before I can print one myself. If you decide to print this model first and encounter any issues, please let me know so I can try to resolve the problem. Update: I've created a 1/3rd scale version of the replica for those who prefer not to print the full-size version. It's available on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2758777
