thingiverse
I created these so I could replace the stock top deck with something stiffer and smaller. Allows better fitment of larger batteries. I printed mine in Carbon PLA using a 0.4 nozzle, 0.2 layer height, 8 top and bottom layers, 7 walls and 30% infill. You'll need supports for the spur gear cover at least. For a 1/12 scale WLtoys buggy, the 6mm aluminium tube is 164mm long. This isn't confirmed but online it says the 144001/ 144010 has a wheelbase 46mm shorter than the larger buggys. Therefore, their tube would be 118mm long. measure this first though! Also, you dont have to use aluminium. You can use anything (carbon fibre would be good). This is glued in at either end using 2 part epoxy. 26/8/23 update - it seemed to survive the skate park!
