123D Shuttle Rocket with Connectors
thingiverse
The Shuttle and Booster Tank from Autodesk 123D Gallery have been remixed for enhanced functionality. Although intriguing, these models required improved connectivity between components. To address this, I designed sliding connectors (male and female) and integrated them with the shuttle and tank using Tinkercad. For added versatility, I also incorporated connectors on both sides of the booster to launch two shuttles simultaneously. The STL files for printing are available, featuring split segments for easy printability. Support material is recommended, although the shuttle may not require it. A scale increase (150% or 200%) would likely benefit the overall print quality, as some details are too delicate at the current size. Future modifications will likely include strengthening the nozzles of the booster tank model to improve durability for play purposes.
