No threaded inserts needed. Regular PC fan screws worked for the original mod but had the issue of the screw heads sticking out a bit much making the side panel protrude slightly from the frame. Smaller holes on this version making the PSU bracket mouting screws that comes with he M1 fit and let's the side panel sit flush.
