I simply required a small gap to prevent my fan blades from scraping against the heatsink and generating noise. The fan and spacer are secured by spring clips, eliminating the need for screws, which would otherwise require holes - instead, they rely on a slight bump to keep things in place.\r\n\r\nMinimal remnants of the original file remain, but I've included it nonetheless.
