120mm PSU fan shroud w/ relay mount
thingiverse
I wanted a way to command my LED strips around my Di3, so I modified this shroud to incorporate a relay from Amazon (http://a.co/iozbBre) built into the side, with an opening in the top for the relay wires. These wires ascend to my RaspberryPi that operates OctoPrint - and from OctoPrint, I have a button on the interface that triggers the relay, and switches the lights on and off. When you integrate plugins like the GCODE System command plugin, you can add switching on and off the lights to the actual models like this: 1) Switch on lights (for webcam/monitoring camera) 2) Print 3) Switch off lights (I also utilize an EcoBee plug, so I can append the "turn off printer" at the end if I desire as well)
