To mount a grill and 120mm 12V fan on an exterior wall, I designed this adapter with a water drain at the bottom. The fan helps remove excess CO2 from the house. For printing, use 20% infill, two shells, and a 0.30mm layer height. Assemble the parts, slide in the fan, and secure everything to the wall with screws. To control the fan based on CO2 levels, I use a Raspberry Pi connected to a Netatmo module; it switches the fan on or off depending on the CO2 threshold and temperature, using a weather daughter board from web4robot.com. The chosen fan is Papst 4412F/2GL due to its low operating temperature and cost-effectiveness.
