Cool yourself in the heat of summer on your desktop with this 120mm 3D printed fan! Easy to adjust, this fan can be directed wherever you prefer. Normal Fan STL and Turbo version Fan.stl files are for Thingiview purposes only, showing how it looks in 3D. An upgraded version was added on June 8th, 2018. The turbo fan version produces stronger winds by at least 40%+ compared to the normal fan version. To use the turbo stack as a back cover and turbo feet for better support, especially when tilting the fan with the turbo stack adding more weight to the back, normal feet only hold the turbo version at around 10% tilt to the back. Printing details: Infill: 30% or more, whatever you desire. Print with supports: Supports are needed everywhere except for Feet.stl and Turbo Feet version parts. Other parts do not require support. Warning! Print part ball socket thread with a 0.1 layer thickness; this is necessary so the nut can be screwed in normally. If you have any problems screwing it in, just heat the thread part (not the nut part with the ball) with a hair dryer for a little bit until it's soft and then screw in the nut and leave it tightened until it cools off. It will stay secure permanently. Part: Ball and Nut with Integrated Support - This part already has built-in support, so remove it after printing is complete. Use a brim on all parts if you experience bad adhesion on your 3D printer's print area. Tighten the feet and ball nut together through the middle hole using a screw, external tooth washer, and nut to ensure they don't move. Tighten the thread with the main frame using four screws from top to bottom. When the fan is placed into the main frame, it will stay in place due to the screw heads keeping it secure. If the system moves too freely, you can place some cut rubber band pieces inside the socket before assembly for a tighter fit. Use the highest RPM 12V 120mm fan possible. Use a 12V 2.5 amp power supply for high RPM - this will produce more wind from your fan. Special thanks to Brisemuth! Keep it cool! Cheers!
