Thanks to Neon22 for his great customizable thing! The original thing and customizer can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1015874. This is a 120 mm fan to 125 mm duct adapter. The fan connects to an activated carbon air filter (industrial version, check out Ebay and growshops). We use this filter to clean the air from cigarette smell in our home because the guy who lived here before us was a smoker. I've been using these filters for over 10 years now, and they work perfectly in my bedroom and living room. They're way better than the very noisy Honeywell fan we tried before. The old 230 V fan was connected to 80 V and it was almost noiseless but 25 W per hour was too much for 24/7/365 (219 kW per year, ~65 €). The new fan is sufficient and quiet (Papst 4412 FGM 12 V@6 V, <1 W). It's been running for several months now. ***Edit:*** It's a hot summer and I'm also using this thing at my desk with a 12V fan@5V connected to USB. It works perfectly! Don't forget to add a (printed) protective grill. I have a Can-Lite 425. It lasts for around 2 years, then it starts to smell a little bit and needs to be replaced. Maybe it is possible to replace the activated carbon only (available on ebay).
