120 × 120 × 5mm Lithophane Cube + Template
thingiverse
This is an Remix of the Improved Lithophane Cube by Reflex. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3994064 The original design was for 100 × 100 × 4mm Lithophone's Squares but I thought that was a bit small and wanted it a bit thicker. I downloaded Reflex's Fusion 360 model (link is with the original thing!) (Many Thanks Reflex!) and sliced it up to make a 120 × 120 × 5mm Cube. While I was resizing the model and cutting it up, I thought It'd be a great idea to use that as a template for any other size litho' required. I have included a STEP file for those who would like to make their own sizes. Basically, move the corner pieces away from the centre pieces symmetrically, then join the solids together.... It makes more sense if you have the model open!! You should be able to make any size box to fit any size litho with ease! (He says! : ) I have also modified the connection hole to support a Clever Little Box, CLB Cable Mount DC Jack Socket (CLBJL-53) (https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/jack-plugs/8104605/) since you can buy a PSU and connector of Ebay for a small price (Ebay item number: 264409814982). The original frame feature is also included. I tend to use the Flat Lithophane Maker from https://www.lithophanemaker.com/Framed%20Lithophane.html With these settings Lithophane Resolution 0.16 (as I print at 0.16 not 0.2 these days) Width 120mm Height 120mm Depth 5mm Base Height 5mm Overhang Angle 45° Maximum Thickness 3.5mm Minimum Thickness 0.5mm Don't Forget to size your photograph first to 120 x 120 square or use the X-Shift & Y-Shift on the page! I hope this is useful to someone... Any questions, just message away!! Any "Tip Designer" would be appreciated : ) Regards, JTB
