Note: This design is an alternative escapement mechanism specifically created to supplement the clock located on Thingiverse.\r\n\r\nVisit the full clock design page to learn more about this type of escapement and its functionality.\r\n\r\nI have designed this version with user-friendliness in mind, making it a better fit for printers by using 12 teeth instead of 18. This change results in larger parts, which are likely to be more tolerant of printing errors. Additionally, it reduces the number of teeth that need to be sanded and shaped.\r\n\r\nI have yet to print this design due to my printers' current location across the Pacific Ocean. However, a computer simulation suggests its feasibility. I manually rotated each part in a CAD program one degree at a time to test its functionality.\r\n\r\nSome key points to consider:\r\n-Larger addenda may rub against support posts; be cautious of this issue.\r\n-This design is likely less efficient than the 18T version, and the weight might need to be adjusted accordingly.\r\n-I have not prototyped this design, so it's possible I've overlooked a critical flaw. I apologize in advance for any wasted time or material that may result from using this design.
