12 mm tact button solder jig
thingiverse
I'm planning to solder a lot of 12 mm momentary buttons onto cables soon, so making a jig was worth my time. This isn't perfect, but it's a good start for holding the cable and separating the ends. Printing this in PLA is probably best. v1.1: An eject hole under the button has been added for when tolerances are too snug, thanks to Jake at Makers Making Change. v1.2: Tiny tolerances around the button have been added as people were complaining about it not fitting. A recent workshop participant has officially blown my mind by using the jig with the button upside down. This works much better!
