The 12 LED PIR Infrared Stick-On Wardrobe lights from Ali Express are incredibly convenient, but the status LEDs shine so brightly while charging or fully charged that they overwhelm the light detecting photoresistor, causing the unit to malfunction in AUTO mode. BigClive performed an excellent review and teardown of these products. https://youtu.be/GSkzXqkWayg Their price has increased recently, making them slightly less of a bargain, but they are still handy, well-made lights, except for the annoying issue with the status LED brightness while plugged in. This object resolves that problem. It blocks the LEDs and channels the light away from the photoresistor, allowing the status to be seen clearly. The result is much more pleasant at night. Additionally, by keeping it plugged in, the battery remains charged and ready to serve as an emergency backup lighting source. Supports will be necessary under the LED and wire cavities. You'll need to carefully follow the LED tunnels with a 1/16" drill bit - I simply use the hex-shanked type by hand without a drill, and it works nicely with PLA. Just ensure you inspect the different tunnel angles well before starting to drill each one. Installation: Partially unscrew the LED circuit board. Verify that the wire paths match the notches. Orient so the large square hole covers the photoresistor and mounting holes align with the channels. It only fits one way. Slide the back edge of the fix underneath the LED circuit board and pull it towards the LED board until it overlaps slightly. Ensure the sensor PCB mounting holes are centered with the fix's channels. Re-screw in the LED board screw. Place the translucent cover on the lamp first, then insert the opaque cover's lip to level it up before pressing down. You may need to hold it while you screw in the first two screws. This is a rather unusual solution. Please let me know if anyone actually uses this!
