I don't like having shells scattered throughout my vest's pockets, so I came up with these holders that snap together and clip onto a backpack's strap. The shells I use fit securely in place (they won't just fall loose) but they're easy to pull out if you need one. You should position them so the holder isn't yanked off the backpack's strap when you remove a shell. It's okay to be a bit more careful when restocking.
