12 Gauge Invector Plus Choke Wrench
thingiverse
I recently acquired my new Winchester Super X4 Shotgun. I'm thoroughly pleased with its build quality. The only thing that's a letdown is the very uncomfortable choke wrench. It's incredibly compact, taking up minimal space, but it's really challenging to use. Knowing that the same wrench comes standard on all Browning and Winchester shotguns equipped with Invector plus chokes, I decided to create my own "comfort plus" choke wrench. I printed it in ABS, hoping it will hold up for a while. You can use any material you like; I printed mine fairly rough using a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.35mm layer height. For infill, I used 15% and set the perimeters to 3. That's enough for me. The only hardware required is an M6 x 60mm bolt (you can use any similar size; I chose this one because it has a long unthreaded rod), a nut, and two 6mm washers. Check out the dimensions in the picture. Assembly is straightforward. First, place your choke wrench in the gap and secure it using a hammer or press. Next, insert the bolt into the base. Place the hex head in the notch, then add one washer, the handle, another washer, and finally the nut (be careful not to overtighten; the handle should rotate freely). You can use a self-locking nut or just apply thread lock. Once you've glued on both caps, you're done! Good luck with your hunting adventures!
