12 Gauge Chamber Flag
thingiverse
I designed a 12-gauge chamber safety flag for my Remington model 10 shotgun in a hurry. The challenge lies in its loading and ejecting mechanism, which exits through a single port at the bottom of the receiver. This makes it tricky to confirm whether the chamber is empty or not, and regular flags wouldn't reach far enough into the action. I deliberately left the center of the plug hollow so a light can still be shone down the barrel. Update 31 May 2020 - I revised the dimensions to better fit the chamber, added images of my initial design, included a lanyard loop, and created a variant for popular double-barrel shotguns. Why not make it versatile?
