A new version of a really old, surprisingly good sailing dinghy. It was developed from a very old 12 foot design from Chichester. However the design gives extremely good sailing performance for its weight. The cockpit is spacious and makes the boat feel more like a 14 foot dinghy. Stability is excellent. It would make an excellent craft for sailing schools, because it is forgiving, but nimble, and gives fast feedback to good or bad crew inputs. It adapts well to using a light outboard motor, because the transom height is perfect for short shaft motors. This craft is also quite nice to row, but really, its sailing performance is surprisingly good, and definitely its primary best use.
