12 DOF Quad Robot
thingiverse
This is my second robot after remixing the 8 DOF SMARS Quadrupod (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3118494). I rearranged the excellent Ez Arduino Spidey by manic-3D-print, making significant changes to its design. The top cover was removed due to space constraints and the need for more cable management. To resolve this issue, two 18650 Li-Ion batteries were placed in the base, connected in series to provide a stable power source. The upper support was slightly modified to accommodate additional components, including a DC-DC step down module, an Arduino nano board, an Adafruit 16 servo driver, and an HC-06 Bluetooth receiver. These modifications allowed for more complex robotic movements and improved functionality. On the bottom, I placed a Wi-fi camera (Syma 05), connected to the battery charger socket, which enables the robot to operate within a controlled environment. To secure all components in place, I utilized Velcro extensively throughout the design.
