So... My wife saw an industrial-style ceiling light that was basically a two-cylinder engine with motorcycle headlights dangling from the cylinder heads via cables. I said, "If you're okay with an engine hanging from our living room ceiling as a light fixture, I can make one even better and print a 12-cylinder radial for you." And thus this unique piece of art was born. Yes, I know Radial Engines typically have an odd number of cylinders to function properly. However, since it's just a decorative item, not a working engine, that rule doesn't apply here. It looks amazing and that's all that matters. The cylinders don't have any conduit for the cables, which was pointed out by someone. But adding channels or tubes would add complexity and extra time to the print job. Drilling holes with a long drill bit is not that big of a deal, so I left it as-is. The STL files may not be perfect, but from six feet away in dim light, they look great. The valve push-rods are made from 6mm aluminum tubing. There are multiple parts to choose from and you can mix-and-match them however you like. I built mine with one full ring of cylinders and a half-ring. You could make two full rings or just one if you prefer. The ignition system supports six or twelve cylinders, so go wild and create your own unique design!
