The Vessel is a Pot with a Distinctive Bellied Body. It features a wide rim and a narrow bottom that provides stability on any surface. The exterior boasts four circular flat bosses that adorn the area near the rim, giving it an elegant appearance. This type of pot is widely used in everyday life, making it one of the most common household items. Found at Grădiştea de Munte – Rudele in the Orăştioara commune of Hunedoara County, this pot measures 7.8 cm in height and has a rim diameter of 9.2 cm with a base diameter of 5.1 cm. It is crafted from clay using a coarse brown-yellowish paste and was created using the handmade technique followed by reduction firing. Dating back to the 1st century AD, this pot falls within the Late Iron Age (Dacian) time period. The detailed scan was achieved through 3D Laser scanning technology by a team of experts from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
