Experimental archaeologist Caroline Jeffra crafts a pot using the traditional wheel-throwing technique, bringing ancient methods to life. Archaeologist Kelly Papastergiou captures its intricate details with precision, employing the DAVID SLS-3 structured light scanner for 3D scanning. The native DAVID-camera records the texture with stunning clarity. Originally, the fusion resolution reaches an impressive 0.0664mm, resulting in a massive OBJ file of 4.14GB and an astonishing 26724206 vertices. To facilitate online sharing, the file is skillfully decimated to 567204 vertices, reducing its size to a manageable 175MB.
