After suffering countless crashes that resulted in damaged 1104 motors, I decided to design a solution to protect my motors and bank account. Over the past year, these motor guards have been my saviors, and I highly recommend them! Stop buying motors in bulk and let these 11XX Motor Guards take the abuse instead! They are incredibly strong and have proven their effectiveness during rigorous testing. Don't own a 3D printer? No problem! You can get the PLA versions of these motor guards on eBay. For installation information, skip to 23:30 on my Aurora 100 Review and Mod video. **Important Note:** These motor guards are designed for motors with a 2mm thick bottom plate. If they don't fit your specific motor due to a different plate thickness, try using one size shorter. **Updates:** 9/17/2017: I released V2, which features an additional .5mm of material on the bottom, extra strength chamfering, and a hole in the center for easy access to the C/E clip. 9/17/2017: I also released V3, which includes a chamfer on the inner edge to prevent the guard from getting caught in smaller motor bells if it breaks. 10/14/17: I added V3 TPU, which boasts increased wall thickness and smaller diameter screw holes to prevent M2 bolts with small heads from sinking into the guard and causing it to fall off. I highly recommend giving these TPU motor guards a try! 10/14/17: I released V1 NinjaFlex TPU 1106 edition motor guards, specifically designed for 1106 motors. These motor guards are ideal for soft mounting motors due to their flexibility. 10/14/17: I also added 11XX soft mounting pads, which install under your motor to prevent motor vibrations from transferring to the rest of your quad. With limited testing, these pads have given me silky smooth flight. For best results, print in NinjaFlex TPU and pair with TPU motor guards. 10/30/17: I released specialized NinjaFlex TPU motor guards for 1102, 1103, 1104, and 1105 motors (earlier updates included the TPU motor guards for 1106). 10/25/18: I updated my file naming system as well as made slight structural changes to all versions of these motor guards.
