11th Hour Halloween Mask - Updated
thingiverse
Found myself caught off guard on Halloween without a costume in sight! I thought quickly and resolved to create one using a cool trick - inspired by a great tutorial. I flattened out my printed mask and then thermo-shaped it perfectly to fit my face with a surprisingly effective combination: hot tap water and electrical tape for support; voila, a one-of-a-kind mask was born! I'm thrilled to report that an update made significant improvements to this design! To enhance comfort, visibility, and overall performance, I reworked the profile of the mask, making it easier to put on and more streamlined when worn. By fine-tuning the shape and adding flexibility to this versatile piece, it's now so light that you can hold it in place using double-sided tape - giving users the freedom to ditch the strap altogether! Now here are some helpful steps to recreate this DIY marvel: To start off, print out your design at 0.3 layer height with 15% infill, optimizing for both material usage and efficiency - a smart trade-off considering it wasn't mission-critical in this project. Tailor these settings based on what you prioritize most: precision or productivity. Your perfect combination will yield results that blow all other options out of the water!
