This is a 3D model of an ancient Roman imperial portrait bust of Marciana in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (catalog number 20.200). The official portrait bust showcases Marciana, elder sister of Trajan, with highly elaborate hairstyles and hairpieces characteristic of ladies in the Roman imperial court. The portrait bust is a product of the Hadrianic Period. As the grandmother of Sabina, Hadrian's wife, Marciana played an important role in the imperial family.
