thingiverse
I'm just a simple user of thingiverse, but I'll take you through the customized settings that created this awesome design! The person who designed it started with version 28827 of Thingiverse's most advanced 3D modeling tool. They then chose to work from a customizer app, which lets designers and makers play around with various parameters to create their perfect print. The options selected for this particular customization were: sbLip (the thickness at the lip where two pieces meet) = 15 mm tGap (the distance between the gap and the rest of the piece) = 0.3 units tFactor (how much larger or smaller you want the object to be than its original dimensions) = -100% (that's right, it was made teeny tiny!) $fn (the amount of sides on a polygonal shape, like an octagon with more sides added in.) = 100 sbHeight (the height from bottom to top) = 100 units wThickness (how wide the walls are that you want printed) = 3 units iRadius (the distance at which internal details would start) = 20 units
