Have you picked up a secondhand Vitamix container or let gunk accumulate on your container blades and want to get them *really* clean before letting them touch your food again? Slot this simple adapter over the drive gear on a Vitamix container, slot a 11/16" socket over the adapter, slot a 3/8" socket (and socket extension) over the blade assembly nut, apply some lefty-loosey torque, and get to deep cleaning (Bar Keeper's Friend is good for gentle scrubbing). # Required Tools for Disassembly All of the other tools are commonly available in SAE tool sets. * 11/16" socket adapter (i.e. this __thing__) * Wrench for socket adapter (any of these, in order of preference): 1. 11/16" socket and wrench 2. 11/16" crescent wrench 3. The mesh features a 0.1 mm offset around the drive gear, so that the adapter easily mates with the gear without too much slack. It was perfect for our SLA printer.
