I've created these specifically to fit a 10x20 drag chain to my CTC Prusa i3 DIY, similar to this one on Amazon. My main objectives were: - to avoid printing printer parts again with a chain end on them - not to waste any space on the axes - to eliminate 'wobbly' components This design reaches up to Y=189, even when I remove the top left CTC badge because its screws are in the way. You can use as few as 20 chain elements, although one or two more won't hurt. Two M3x25 or longer screws and nuts are required. Some things to consider: --------------------------------- This isn't my most proud creation. It uses a lot of supports, and I haven't figured out how to make the x-motor end in two parts while keeping it stable and wobble-free. I wanted to create printed clips to hold the cables in place but that would have weakened the structure, so they broke when I removed the supports; therefore, I used zip ties instead. This works for me. You don't need to cut any wires to get all the cables through the chain. I've made a "cable train" by lining up the plugs and using scotch tape. This works perfectly. Remember: The Nema 17 motor plug has six pins, while the board plug has only four. You might want to check this before you have to cut some wires, fiddle them through an already packed cable chain, and crimp those tiny cables again to put them in the right plug.
