I wanted a massive Maker Faire robot to haul to the next Orlando Maker Faire as a conversation starter. It stands one foot tall and measures around 10-1/2 inches wide, roughly the size of my Barnes & Noble plush toy. The build took just shy of two days on my Prusa MK3 and consumed nearly an entire spool of filament. Print it in 5% infill, except for the head and arms, which can be printed with zero fill. Check out "print-comments.html" for detailed instructions. Be sure to disable "Don't support bridges" in Slic3r for the arms; otherwise, the part beneath the shoulder will become distorted. The rest of the build didn't require any support. I 3D-printed it using PLA and assembled the parts with methylene chloride.
