It's designed to hold mugs around 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter and the bottom of the adapter is the size of a standard american soda can.Warning: Hot coffee will burn you or make a mess if you need to stop suddenly. I don't recommend using this adapter with an open top mug as pictured.
