10mm Barrel Hinge centering jig
thingiverse
This is a precision alignment tool for 10mm barrel hinges, designed to ensure perfect symmetry between box halves. It works by marking the opposing side using a brad nail placed centrally, allowing for accurate hole placement. I utilized 10mm barrel hinges from this source: https://amzn.to/2WIsXTG and a Fisch 10mm Brad Point bit for drilling holes at: https://amzn.to/2Bj4GdF To use this jig effectively, print as many copies as needed to accommodate your hinge requirements. Next, insert a brad nail through the central hole and position the jig (nail-side-up) into a pre-drilled 10mm hole in the bottom half of the box. Place your lid on top with the desired alignment, then press down firmly to mark precise locations for drilling holes in the top half of the box.
