100mm Calibration Square
thingiverse
This is a precision calibration tool, measuring 100mm square in both width and length, with a height of just 10mm, used to fine-tune 3D printers for accuracy. Post-Printing Analysis Calculating Percentage Error Made Easy To determine the error margin, simply print this item and then take precise measurements of its width and length. If your 3D printer is producing a 100mm square as intended, you're good to go! However, if there's a discrepancy, you can calculate the exact amount of error and instruct your printing software to adjust accordingly. For instance, let's say your printed dimensions measure 103mm in both width and length. To find the correction factor, divide the target dimension (100mm) by the actual measurement (103mm). This will give you a rough estimate of 97%. Next, feed this correction factor into your printing program to scale up or down the length and width of your prints accordingly.
