100mm Calibration Axes
thingiverse
I recalibrated the X- and Y-axis stops to take all measurements with the calipers' depth stick at a greater distance, thereby eliminating extrusion thickness as a potential source of error in both axes. To ensure consistency, I extended the Z-axis to 100 mm. Printing at 0.1 mm layer height with a first layer of 0.2 mm was successful; using 0.2 mm for all layers would have achieved similar results, or any combination of layer height and first-layer height where n times z plus zf equals 100 for some integer value of n could also work. Initially, I measured the model while it remained on the printbed. To adjust your step settings, retrieve your current firmware settings. For each axis, multiply the setting by 100 and divide by the measured length to obtain your new step setting.
