100g Pb fishing weight
thingiverse
Dear All! I'm grateful to those who contribute their valuable work for free. To repay their kindness, I've created something that might benefit others too. In a nutshell, I designed this mold in 3D and printed it with simple PLA so I could replicate it using sandmolding from aluminum. Now, I can pour fishing lead weights into the mold as often as I like to help out my friend. Keep in mind that I didn't account for tolerances during design, so a bit of sanding is necessary. You can also enlarge the holes slightly – that should work just fine. One handy tip: heat up the mold with a torch or similar tool before pouring. This will make the process smoother. As an added bonus, I've uploaded the mold's mold to share with you all. Feel free to use it to cast high-temperature silicone or gypsum instead of aluminum. By doing so, you can pour lead (or environmentally friendly Bismuth alloy) directly into the silicone or gypsum mold. Best regards, Steve
