This gel comb is engineered to create gels that can handle up to 100 microliter samples, along with an additional 20 microliter loading dye, making it ideal for the Mupid large gel casting set. ### Components 1. The primary component of this comb is its design as a dxf file (DXF R14), which should be cut from a 1.5 millimeter plastic sheet, preferably made from acrylic or polypropylene. 2. The second part consists of the "feet" of the comb, provided in stl format, intended to be printed using a three-dimensional printer. Typically, two sets of M3 nuts and bolts longer than 8 millimeters are required for assembly. Alternatively, you could create custom feet from other materials like foam tape or low-temperature thermoplastics. 3. Acrylic is chemically stable but not physically strong; it's suggested to reinforce the acrylic comb with an additional material, such as fiberglass tape, for added stability and strength.
