This filament feeder is engineered to enable your printer to effortlessly draw material without tangling. The rotating platform on the bottom allows the printer to pull the spool towards it with minimal friction, while the rollers at the top permit the spool to release its filament smoothly. This design should work seamlessly with the MakerBot Large and XL spools, and is likely compatible with most other brands as well. This design is fully 3D-printable, and has been intentionally crafted to require almost no supports during production. The components are designed to be thick enough that the entire feeder can be printed at a low infill setting without compromising its structural integrity. However, this design still requires some refinement. Several enhancements are planned for the near future: * Cosmetic improvements. * A high-quality visual representation of the completed print (the project is currently underway). * A single file that includes all necessary parts and is optimized for use with MakerBot software.
