$100 LCD / SLA 3D Printer

thingiverse

My friend and I are building an SLA printer and we're excited to share our progress with the community. Once it's complete (and if it works), we'll dive deeper into the project, creating more detailed instructions and possibly even a tutorial video. You don't need to replicate the exact components listed below; feel free to substitute them with longer linear shafts or a longer lead screw if that suits your needs. We're happy to address any comments and appreciate your feedback, especially regarding potential flaws in our design - we're just 14 years old, after all, and our ideas are still being tested. As some of you may have noticed, I've been MIA lately due to other commitments. School, work, and various projects have kept me busy, leaving the printer on the backburner for a while. Earlier this year, we finally got everything hooked up, only to discover that the motor wasn't moving as expected. We soon realized that the Raspberry Pi wasn't sending the 'step' signal to the motor. I reinstalled NanoDLP and tried again, but it still didn't work, so we decided to put the project on hold until we could figure out what was going wrong - investing another $50 wasn't in our budget at the time. The printer has been sitting on my desk, unfinished, for a few months now.
